Antique Victorian Art Nouveau P&P Sterling Silver Scroll Design Folding Button Hook Monogrammed Engraved Initials BR
Circa 1890s, Victorian/Art Nouveau Era.
Beautifully designed compact button hook. One one side is a repousse scroll design, and on the other side is the engraved initials “B R”. Also stamped “P&P STERLING”.
In the Victorian era, button hooks were a staple household item used to fasten buttons on clothing and shoes, especially when the buttons were close together.
When closed, measures approximately 1.75 inches long by 0.45 inch wide.
When open, measures approximately 3 inches long.
Weighs approximately 4 grams.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. May have some minor patina as expected with age, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
