A large and heavy gauge sterling silver shoe horn with button hook. This is the most spectacular shoe horn one could wish to find in sterling silver. It is an exceptional length, measuring at eighteen inches long, and a wonderful study gauge of silver. The length makes this easy to put shoes on without having to crouch down. The horn has a button hook at one end, which was another useful tool in helping gentlemen to dress in Victorian times. The piece was made in 1901, in Birmingham, England by William Aitken. Aitken was a well known silversmith making a variety of quality items. A practical, stunning and rare accessory.
